Description
Blue Line A/S is a Danish technology company expanding its presence in the United States. As part of this next chapter, the company is establishing its first U.S. office in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is looking for a versatile, self-driven professional to become the day-to-day anchor of its U.S. operations. This is not a traditional Office Manager role. It is a first-hire, many-hats, get-things-done position for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys building structure where it does not yet exist. The role works closely with the Sales Director, who visits regularly, and with the operations and supply chain teams at headquarters in Denmark. Key Responsibilities Office & Site Operations • Serve as the on-site anchor for the Raleigh office • Handle phone calls, visitors, deliveries, and general office coordination • Work with vendors, contractors, and service providers as needed • Create a welcoming, well-run environment for customers, colleagues, and partners Customer & Sales Support • Handle inbound sales inquiries and provide excellent customer service • Support the sales team with quotes, proposals, order processing, and follow-ups • Qualify and route new leads • Maintain accurate customer data in ERP and CRM systems Operations & Logistics • Coordinate shipments, deliveries, and logistics with the supply chain team in Denmark • Track orders and ensure customers are kept informed • Support inventory and documentation as needed Coordination with Headquarters • Act as the primary local link between the U.S. office and Blue Line headquarters in Denmark • Work closely with operations, supply chain, and system support teams (ERP, CRM, onboarding, remote training) General Coordination • Support travel, trade shows, customer visits, and events • Step in wherever needed to keep the business running smoothly What Success Looks Like in Your First 6 Months Because this is Blue Line’s first hire in the U.S., success is not measured by rigid KPIs, but by how well the foundation is built. • The Raleigh office runs smoothly and feels organized, professional and reliable • Customers receive timely responses, accurate orders and great service • Seamless sales and operations support with headquarters • Orders, logistics and systems (ERP/CRM) are working consistently • Information flows easily between the U.S. and headquarters • The Sales Director can focus on selling because daily operations are under control You will be the person who makes the U.S. presence feel real, stable and professional. Qualifications The focus is less on a specific background and more on the right mindset and experience mix. Candidates might come from roles in office or operations management, customer service or inside sales, executive or administrative support, project or workflow coordination or similar all-round positions. What matters most is that you: • Are self-driven and comfortable working independently • Can juggle many tasks and priorities without losing track • Bring maturity, reliability and personal robustness • Enjoy being the person who makes things run smoothly • Are curious about technology, IT, electronics or hardware • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues The position requires someone who can step in, take ownership and grow with the business.
