TITLE: Office Manager DEPARTMENT: Business REPORTS TO: Finance Director Partner with the work of God at Ocean Church by serving our team in a positive way to build the Kingdom. Position Overview: The Office Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of both the human resources and administrative functions of the church office. This individual will manage HR-related responsibilities such as employee onboarding, record-keeping, and compliance, as well as provide general office support to facilitate day-to-day operations. Essential Duties and responsibilities - Office Manager Manage/maintain employee records in compliance with legal/church policies Monitor and ensure compliance with ACA,FMLA, FLSA regulations Be willing to obtain SHRM certification (online) if needed Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes Prepare and maintain current job descriptions, offer letters Oversee new hire process from initial posting, screening, interviewing Process new hire paperwork, status changes, terminations Maintain employee handbook Administer employee benefits (medical, dental, vision) Support employee relations and communication efforts Assist with performance review coordination and staff development plans Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel data Maintain a welcoming and organized church office environment. Manage church calendar, schedule meetings, and support event coordination Order and maintain office supplies and inventory Support ministry leaders and pastors with administrative tasks as needed Manage office supplies, maintain equipment (copy machine), kitchen area Identify and solve problems, handle conflicts, and engage in conversations to foster a welcoming environment Oversee admin staff to ensure they are communicated with and respected Ensure office etiquette and culture is maintained to Ocean Church standards Backup receptionist and answer phones as needed WORK SCHEDULE Monday - Thursday, weekends as needed (full time) IDEAL INDIVIDUAL Bachelor’s degree required. At least 2 years Office Manager experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to establish strong professional relationships with peers, leadership and church body EXPECTATIONS Loves Jesus, the people of Ocean Church, Southwest Florida, and the world.
