We have an immediate opening for an Office Manager. Our locally owned physical therapy office is an established practice that focuses on meeting the needs of our patients with One-On-One treatments in a professional, purposeful, personal, peaceful and fun setting. Our goal is to provide an excellent patient experience. This is a relaxed and comfortable work place.
We’re looking for an exceptional person with experience managing a medical office, billing experience, excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help patients receive care. The Manager will lead a team of 2 part time employees and must have the flexibility to cover for other staff when needed. Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome patients to our office, addressing them by name and with a smile.
  • Ability and willingness to learn the skills and knowledge needed for insurance and billing, scheduling appointments.
  • File patient forms in the appropriate place after scanning them into our EHR system
  • Provide new patients with forms and other documents that they must fill out
  • Verify insurance information over the phone when the patient makes the appointment, then again upon patient arrival
  • Accept payment for co-pays and other fees required prior to services being rendered
  • Schedule next appointments prior to patients leaving the office using online scheduler
  • Answer the phones and direct patient, insurance and physician office calls as appropriate
  • Maintaining a filing system for all patient documents and reports submitted
  • Informing physical therapist about impending appointments
  • Answering emails and other electronic messages as required
  • Creating invoices and bills, processing insurance forms and managing vendors and contractors
  • Managing inventory and placing orders as required
  • Typing skills are required.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND ABILITY TO SEE TASKS TO COMPLETION

Experience in a medical office setting
Familiarity with insurance company procedures and policies
Knowledge of medical terminology
High school diploma/GED required
Excellent phone manners, verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
Dependable, on time and focused approach to work
Basic math skills
Ability to work flexible part-time hours for the first 90 days of employment
Empathy and compassion to give support to patients
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
