Join our Team as an Office Manager – Make a difference in Senior Care!
We are seeking an energetic, and enthusiastic professional to join our team of senior care professionals at Plan A Glengarry! As an Office Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business office for the long term care and retirement home, including the supervising the office team and meeting deadlines. You will ensure superior customer service is provided within a timely manner. Often the first point of contact, you will ensure the presentation of the home is a professional, welcoming and informative experience for all.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING!
Conduct training for Business Office staff in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, Resident Trust Accounts, and petty cash accounts.
Conduct training on the use of relevant software programs in the office.
Perform periodic audits of financial files, Resident Trust, petty cash, billing employee files, resident files, billing processes and assists in internal audits.
Monitor month-end close and other business office operations for timeliness and accuracy.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for the office team.
Manage the collection of bad debt process for the home.
Oversee scheduling and payroll to ensure it is delivered on schedule without error.
Enforce the security measures (safe, keys, files, mail) in the office and the home overall.
Provide a positive, professional interface between residents, employees, and vendors to identify further needs and improve current processes.
Prepare a variety of high-quality written agreements, memos, letters, and other documents.
Identify cost saving opportunities in the Business Office and remain fiscally responsible.
Respond to inquiries and concerns from residents, families, and staff, triaging the inquiries accordingly.
Preparing bank deposits and completing reconciliations for accounts.
Applying the rate reduction application process for residents.
Audit new hire files for completion according to the home’s audit requirements.
Oversee census for accuracy, input new resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Oversee the welcome and registration of all visitors to the Home.
What We Are Seeking:

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business or related field from a recognized college or university.
