Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for an Office Manager to join our Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions team until 18 December 2026 in a fixed-term, full-time or internal secondment role. This role is fully onsite at our Kelburn Campus. Key responsibilities: * Providing people management and HR administration support including recruitment & onboarding. * Planning and coordinating events for a large team. * Providing comprehensive administrative support and office management of supplies, equipment and workspaces. * Supporting senior leaders with complex scheduling and occasional minute-taking. * Some financial budgeting, tracking responsibilities. * Supporting health, safety and wellbeing compliance and initiatives.   Ō pūmanawa - About you This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator or office manager to play a pivotal role supporting senior leaders and contributing to the smooth and effective operation of a large, dynamic portfolio. This role is suited to someone who is highly proactive, takes initiative and anticipates needs in a fast-paced environment.  Key requirements: * 3-5 years of office management or administration. * Strong interpersonal skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * High levels of accuracy, initiative and ability to meet deadlines. * Confident working with file sharing systems and software applications. * A full driver’s license and working knowledge of health and safety requirements. * Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). * Adaptable, able to self-organise, comfortable working autonomously, as well as being willing to contribute proactively and positively to support others.   The candidate will require proven experience in: * Processing and viewing confidential information. * Working with others in different levels of seniority. * Office management or business/administrative operations with calendar management skills. * Ability to provide proven experience in large group, event planning including financial oversight and processing of invoices, purchase orders. * Supporting HR processes and coordinating recruitment, onboarding, induction and offboarding activities.    Role Description: Click here to see further information, including salary details.
