Description

THE TEAM

The OGC team is a large team made up of approximately 20 lawyers alongside other risk and compliance professionals. It acts as the internal legal function of the Firm, overseeing regulatory compliance in the jurisdictions in which the Firm operates and supporting the Firm in managing legal risk in the work it undertakes.
The team has several sub-teams that handle claims and complaints, oversee negotiation of the Firm’s professional indemnity and other insurances, ensure compliance across the firm with legal and regulatory requirements, manage conflicts, negotiate key supplier contracts for the Firm and terms that govern key client relationships and are involved in strategic activity and support the Firm’s board.
What to expect in this role

Responsibilities

Due to the continued growth and success of the firm, we are looking for an enthusiastic professional to join our Office of the General Counsel (OGC) as a Paralegal.
Whilst the role sits within the Financial Crime & Sanctions Advisory Onboarding team of the OGC and the focus of this role will be supporting this team, there will also be opportunities to support others across the wider OGC team including the Commercial & Regulatory team, the Data protection team and the Claims & Complaints team.
Working closely with the other members of the Office of the General Counsel, you will play an important role in a broad range of matters related to the Firm, its clients and the development and growth of the Firm’s business. Although the team are predominantly based in the UK, they support the Firm globally.
