Job Description Purpose of the role To assess the integrity and effectiveness of the banks internal control framework to support the mitigation of risk and protection of the banks operational, financial, and reputational risk. Accountabilities Knowledge of business areas, products, processes and platforms to be able to assess risk Collaboration with various stakeholders across the bank and business units to improve overall control effectiveness through detailed documentation of control assessments, procedures, and findings. Identification and investigation of potential weaknesses and issues within internal controls to promote continuous improvement and risk mitigation aligned to the bank’s control framework, prioritised by its severity to disrupt bank operations. Development of reports to communicate key findings from risk assessment including control weaknesses and recommendations to control owners, senior management, and other stakeholders. Execution of reviews to determine the effectiveness of the bank's internal controls framework aligned to established and evolving policies, regulation, and best practice. Implementation of adherence to the Barclays Controls Framework and set appropriate methodology of assessing controls against the Controls Framework. Assistant Vice President Expectations To advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development and take responsibility for operational effectiveness. Collaborate closely with other functions/ business divisions. As an integral member of the Tooling/Data team, you will play a crucial part in the development of the simplification and automation of our LRR Mapping processes. The Tooling/Data team will be responsible for fielding data requests, scorecard production, building self-service tools and assist with the production of materials for committees. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as experience as an Office of Legal Obligations - Assistant Vice-President, as well as job-specific skillsets. To be successful in the Office of Legal Obligations - Assistant Vice-President you should have experience with: Basic/ Essential Qualifications: • Basic understanding of the language used by business stakeholders. • Understanding of governance and control frameworks and processes. • Understanding of Risk and Control. • Experience in building high performing analytics and tooling capability. • Ability to identify, assess, and manage delivery, data, and model risks. • Intermediate level of experience using Excel and PowerPoint. • Experience in Designing analytics and modelling solutions to business problems using data expertise. • Experience in data gathering and analysis. Desirable skillsets/ good to have: Experience in leveraging AI – driving data insight efficiency/ insight and process automation. Understanding of the Financial Services environment. Experience in senior stakeholder management. Ability to manage relationships across multiple disciplines. Proficient in use of advanced analytics and AI, identifying opportunities to move from tactical automation to strategic insight generation. Ability to drive continuous improvement by challenging existing processes and embedding data led decisions. This role will be based out of Pune.
