Job Responsibilities

  • Accurately input, update, and maintain a variety of data including patient records, billing information, and other healthcare-related documentation.
  • Review and verify data for accuracy and completeness before entry into the system.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in data.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to gather necessary information and clarify data requirements.
  • Generate and maintain reports to track data input progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards, including HIPAA.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data entry processes and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in training and orientation for new staff on data entry protocols and software usage.
  • Provide support for other administrative functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in data entry, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in data entry software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare data systems is a plus.
