SG Technical Systems Ltd - A UK leading manufacturing business.
SG manufacture high quality equipment for specialist vehicle converters, the medical sector and light rail sectors. Established in 2010 we are a successful, innovative business that continues to grow strongly. We are looking for someone to take over the Office Managers role, which is strongly based on Sage 50 accounting software, and become a key member of a close team. Much of your role will be based around Sage 50 including: processing customer orders, creating sales and works orders, despatching goods and raising despatch notes & invoices, sending out supplier orders, inputting supplier invoices, booking goods into stock, etc. You will also look after the business finance function (but this is not an accountancy role) including: making supplier payments, checking customer payments and chasing up late payments, speaking to both suppliers and customers as required, VAT returns, bank reconciliations and, later, paying salaries. You should also be confident in speaking to customers and suppliers. The role covers a wide range but we are very system orientated and Sage software does the work. Potentially the role could be part time.
Experience of Sage 50, ideally in a small and busy business, is likely to be an advantage. However, candidates with no Sage experience will be considered if they can demonstrate the desired skill set of: a positive attitude, a drive to succeed, willingness & ability to learn, IT competence (Excel, Word, email as a minimum) and to work as part of a close team. We will train and support you as required. (You need to be comfortable with dogs as there is a friendly dog in the office.)
