Work Shift Day (United States of America) Job Summary: Completes Business Office Operations by determining document priority and format; verifying, entering, and proofreading data; verifying transaction information; obtaining payment authorization; maintaining office equipment and supplies; filing and retrieving policies and endorsements. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Completes insurance documents by determining priority and format; verifying, entering, and proofreading data. Provides administrative information by answering agent questions and concerns; resolving problems. Pays business invoices by verifying transaction information; obtaining payment authorization. Keeps office equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining equipment supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Keeps office supplies ready by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt; stocking items. Maintains insurance records by filing and retrieving policies and endorsements. Forwards business information by sorting and distributing documents and messages; preparing information for transfer. Maintains quality results by following standards. Protects organization value by keeping information confidential; cautioning others regarding potential breaches. Improves insurance office management job knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Contributes to insurance office management and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma General or GED General or Associates Other-Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s): All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated. Additional License(s) and Certification(s): Required Minimum Experience: progressive administrative experience. Required Minimum Skills: Skill in monitoring/assessing the performance of self, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
