Description
The Officer Airside Operations Training supports the Senior Officer Airside Operations Training in conducting competency checks, maintaining accurate training records, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of training programs. The role requires strong knowledge of ICAO and GCAA regulations and a commitment to enhancing operational safety and staff competency across all airside operations functions. Responsibilities Assist the Senior Officer Training in planning, conducting, and completing staff competency checks. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of staff training, certifications, and assessments. Coordinate with Training & Development (TD) and Etihad Aviation Training (EAT) departments for scheduling, delivery, and follow-up of training activities. Support the development and updating of training materials, checklists, and competency frameworks in line with ICAO Annexes and GCAA CAR requirements. Monitor training compliance to ensure all staff meet mandatory regulatory and organizational requirements. Prepare periodic reports on training activities, gaps, and compliance status for review by the Senior Officer Airside Operations Training. Participate in training audits and provide documentation as required by regulatory authorities. Serve as a training assessor for all airports. Deliver courses on behalf of the Senior Officer Airside Operations Training during his absence. Support Airside Operations activities as required. Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring all training reflects best practices and operational safety standards. Requirements and Skills Education & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in aviation, training, or a related field Experience: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in airside operations, safety, or training Familiarity with ICAO Annex 14, GCAA CAR Part IX, and other applicable regulations Knowledge of competency-based training and assessment methods Strong coordination and record-keeping skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) Top Competencies Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Analytical mindset to identify training gaps and propose solutions Flexibility and willingness to be posted temporarily to island airports Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
