ESTATES OFFICE CAMPUS SAFETY AND FACILITIES MANAGEMENT SECTION Officer (Campus Safety and Facilities Management) (25260247) The appointee will be a member of the Campus Safety and Facilities Management Section of the Estates Office and be responsible for providing quality facilities management services for the campus buildings and off-campus premises of the University. Responsibilities: Provide support on matters related to venue booking and event management; Assist in monitoring the operation of outsourced contractors/workers; Assist in formulating, reviewing and consolidating operational procedures, workflow and guidelines; Handle enquiries and complaints related to facilities management matters; Provide support on matters related to security, cleaning and landscape operations; and Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree with at least four years of relevant work experience; Strong communication and language skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese; Good organisational and problem solving skills; A high level of proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Responsible, service-orientated, self-motivated, detailed-minded, able to work collaboratively, independently and under pressure, and willing to take up extra responsibilities; and Members of a professional institution will be an advantage. The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding. Shortlisted candidates are required to sit for a written test. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
