Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for experienced Emergency Services Officer’s to work within a team to support the standardisation and growth of emergency services, across various sites here at Rio Tino within the Pilbara region.
An Assessment Centre will be held in Perth on the 3rd July, which will require attendance and an essential part of the process.
Reporting to the Emergency Services Supervisors, you will:
- Be committed to promoting a safe culture according to the Rio Tinto values and policy
- Develop and maintain effective networks through collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake emergency and routine medical care in accordance with protocols
- Ensure operational capability and response
- Continuously train and develop site ERT teams
- Perform alcohol & other drug testing
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Health Care (Ambulance)
- Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue, including as a minimum vertical rescue, road crash rescue, firefighting, confined space rescue, breathing apparatus (open circuit) and Hazchem
- Respond to Wildfire
- Alcohol and Other Drugs Collector
- A current HR class drivers licenc
