Description

* Keeping all safety equipment’s in working condition * Monitoring of work permits and follow up for strict compliance of permit system * Maintaining hydrant system and sprinkler system in operation condition and maintain records. * Maintenance to be carried out as per schedule for all safety appliances * Taking round of plant and observing unsafe condition and unsafe act and its compliance. Identify Near miss and report the same. * Do liaison with service department. * Training to contract / company employees * Organizing mock drills, plant safety meetings, walk through audit and central safety committee meetings as per schedule and follow up for its compliance. * Preparation of departmental SOP. * To keep a track / record of departmental activities

Responsibilities

The officer is responsible for ensuring all safety equipment is operational, strictly monitoring work permits, and maintaining records for all safety systems and appliances. Key duties also involve conducting plant rounds to observe unsafe conditions, reporting near misses, and coordinating various safety-related meetings and training sessions.
