About the Limestone District School Board
The Limestone District School Board (LDSB) is situated on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe and Haudenosaunee. Limestone schools serve more than 20,500 students in 55 schools and five alternative education centres covering a geographic area of 7,719 square kilometres across the City of Kingston, the Townships of Central Frontenac, North Frontenac, South Frontenac, Addington Highlands, Loyalist, Stone Mills, the Frontenac Islands and the Town of Greater Napanee.
Position Overview
Coordinates all administrative matters and supports all activities related to the International Education Program. Assists with promoting and marketing the International Education Program. Leads all aspects of registration process at International Education. Understanding and processes the budget for all aspects of the International Education department. Travels abroad to recruit international students. Liaises with the LDSB Budget department.

Qualifications & Experience

• Process international student applications, including working with Foreign Affairs and Canadian Immigration. Understands and works with embassies to validate Mexican, Brazilian and Spanish student transcripts.
• Acts as the legal guardian for international students, including working with health insurance companies to process health claims.
• Extends students’ study permits as required.
• Deliver seminars to agents, international families, students and schools abroad, as well as meet with parents, agents and students who visit Kingston to discuss the International Education Program.
• Monitors expenditures, making recommendations to increase revenues and/or decrease expenditures in order to maintain positive fiscal balance.
• Responsible for accounts receivable/payable for student application fees, tuition and homestay administration fees.
• Assume role of the Executive Lead of International Education and/or the Homestay Coordinator(s) in their absence.
• Add counsel to the International Education team.
• Track via database the current and projected International Students to the LDSB.
• Other role-related projects and/or responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Three to five years related work experience.
• College diploma in office administration and/or marketing would be considered an asset.
• Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent time management and organizations skills.
• Thorough understanding of general financial record keeping practices, including accounts receivable and accounts payable experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of other cultures.
• Advanced proficiency in utilizing a variety of software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, electronic mail and other relevant software applications.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and passport for domestic and international travel.
• Ability to work 24/7 in order to meet times/schedules of other cultures.
