We are looking for a Transport & logistics Officer, to join our Metal Products Team @ Boyne Smelters – Gladstone.
This is a great opportunity for a Experienced Logistics Officer to integrate their skills with a well established team. The successful applicant will be responsible for the planning, assigning and loading of ingot, billet and other products onto various trucks, as well as packaging and preparing ingot for export via ship. Attention to detail is essential, as we are BSL’s last opportunity to impress our customers.
Your role will see you operate large Forklift machinery, 8 tonne -14 Tonne equipment, within the workspace, Truck loading areas and wharf.

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor and working in a collaborative, semi-autonomous Team within the Logistics Operations Team, you will;

  • A demonstrated commitment to safety.
  • Desire and ability to function effectively as part of a team and to autonomously manage your workload.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operating heavy forklift machinery, 8 to 14 Tonnes weight.
  • Loading / unloading trucks, strapping down.
  • Good computer skills including the use of Metpro would be desirable.
  • Preparing loads for Trucks.
