MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE: To ensure the safe, secure, and timely turnaround of aircraft to facilitate on-time departures and ensure all documented procedures are strictly aligned with Precision Time Stamp (PTS) and other relevant operational standards, while overseeing both below-wing services provided by third-party vendors and internal stakeholders, addressing any issues that arise during the turnaround process. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Acts as an advocate for all safety and security measures required around personnel, equipment, and facilities during the turnaround. Highlights areas for improvement and addresses performance gaps.
  • Supervises and coordinates the aircraft turnaround process, taking ownership and collaborating with operational partners and other stakeholders to manage factors that may cause disruptions.
  • Serves as the central point of contact for addressing issues and resolving problems during turnarounds, proactively identifying potential challenges and works with relevant stakeholders to implement quick and effective solutions.
  • Performs all necessary checks as outlined in individual service level agreements to ensure full compliance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines.
  • Collects and completes all relevant data and documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution to the appropriate individuals.
  • Ensures all required physical checks for flight arrivals and departures are completed in line with operational procedures, with a focus on compliance with GCAA and other regulatory standards.
  • Acts as the primary contact for Flight and Cabin Crew to facilitate efficient and timely boarding and disembarkation of flights.
  • Maintains continuous communication with terminal gate staff, above-wing and below-wing teams, as well as the airport control center and network control center, to ensure adherence to best practices for an efficient turnaround.
  • Accurately records and reports any irregularities during the turnaround process, ensuring all required reports are completed and distributed promptly.
  • Collaborates closely with the operating crew to address last-minute changes at the aircraft side in accordance with established procedures.
  • Monitors service delivery to ensure it meets established standards and complies with safety and security regulations, aiming for on-time and efficient performance.
  • Reports on turnaround time stamps and activities, supporting performance improvement analyses and initiatives, ensuring “ready to go” status is communicated effectively.
  • Manages all aspects of emergency situations during aircraft turnarounds by coordinating with the flight deck, cabin crew, fuelers, ground handling providers and Dubai Airports.
  • Fosters a positive and professional attitude among all teams involved in the turnaround, serving as a problem solver, with or without a prior notification maintaining professionalism in challenging and high-stress environments.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (3+ years)
  • Fluent in English (other languages an advantage)
  • Over 2 years of experience in airline turnaround operations, with expertise in coordinating below-wing and above-wing activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and proficiency in load control functions, including weight and balance and load sheet preparation.
  • Knowledge of DCS preferred
  • 3 - 5 years
