About the Team Lifetime Learner Experience (LLE) Unit is part of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Students portfolio and was formed to enable the alignment of a range of learner acquisition, administration and assurance activities which are critical to the success of the UTS 2030 Strategy and in supporting the UTS Vision. UTS Scholarships sits within the Future Learners team and supports the establishment, promotion, selection, and ongoing recipient management of over 130 UTS coursework scholarships and prizes. Staff in this team must work collaboratively with other teams within LLE to ensure deadlines are met and outcomes achieved, particularly during peak times. This position may be affected by leave exclusion periods.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Officer, Scholarships is responsible for the efficient administration of student- related matters providing high level scholarships and Commonwealth Practicum Payment (CPP) related support to UTS Scholarships, its customers and stakeholders, solving problems supported by policy, providing peer training. The Officer, Scholarships handles a number of competing priorities while monitoring and ensuring operational and customer service standards are met. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for: • Administering scholarships and Commonwealth Prac Payment (CPP) processes including eligibility, assessment, payments, and selection activities.• Using systems and technology for reporting, analysis, peer training, and maintaining accurate data for scholarships and CPP.• Resolving complex issues using scholarship policies, maintaining compliance and escalating when required.• Providing timely, accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders, interpret policies, and attend promotional events.• Contributing to process improvements and ensure timely delivery of reports and communications.• Maintaining strong stakeholder communication across various channels and develop subject matter expertise over time. Remuneration & Benefits Base Salary Range: $83,906 - $95,989 pa (HEW 5) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
