Officer: 

• Fulfillment of the career-related requirements for the second entry-level position in career group 2 of the career field of health and social services – healthcare – career branch of veterinary service

Salaried employees:

• Completed university studies in veterinary medicine
• License to practice as a veterinarian 
• Fulfillment of the entry requirements for the veterinary service (at least 3 years of full-time professional experience as a veterinarian)
• Authorization to use the area designation Public Veterinary Medicine (Specialist Veterinarian for Public Veterinary Medicine or the former "District Examination")

Supporting documents must be included with the application. 

Professional skills:

• Knowledge of veterinary, food and pharmaceutical law, in particular regarding animal welfare, animal diseases, animal carcass disposal, tobacco products, cosmetics and consumer goods, as well as the European regulation.
• Knowledge of the content, methods and instruments of personnel management/development
• Knowledge of the Administrative Offenses Act (OWiG), Public Safety and Order Act (ASOG), Code of Criminal Procedure (StPO), and
