OFFLINE PROGRAMMER

Are you passionate about pushing the boundaries of offline programming? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where innovation is encouraged? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We’re seeking a skilled Offline Programmer to join our bustling team located in Tiptree, Essex (CO5 0JA)
As an Offline Programmer, you are responsible for several key tasks aimed at enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of production processes. This includes developing and implementing offline programming processes to boost accuracy and efficiency, collaborating closely with Machine Operators to troubleshoot and prevent recurring issues, and generating Wood CNC programs specifically tailored for HOMAG machines. Additionally, you will ensure the verification of programs prior to their release to the shop floor, create 2D drawings using drafting software, and guide to the drill shop regarding machining methods and programming.. Utilising Magicut software, you will optimise orders, while maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the work area and adhering strictly to health and safety regulations. Furthermore, you will be prepared to handle ad-hoc tasks as required and may work additional hours during peak periods to meet deadlines. Lastly, you will undertake any reasonable management instructions within the specified time frame.
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week,07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday with unpaid 30 minutes lunch and 2 x 15 minutes breaks, Full Time, on site

OFFLINE PROGRAMMER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Formal training for CNC programming software such as Wood desirable
  • Able to read and interpreted technical drawings and specifications
  • 3+ years of CNC programming preferably within a sheet material production setting.
  • Ideally worked with sheet board optimisation software before but not essential
  • Knowledge of general engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to produce accurate programs both parametric and non-parametric
  • Worked within a design / Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of producing drawings and technical information for production.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
