How does 80 hours of paid vacation within your first year sound? We are seeking an experienced Offset Press Operator for our Erlanger, Kentucky facility just minutes from Cincinnati OH. Offset Press Operators set up and operate 2-color high-speed printing presses. We offer comprehensive benefits including a 401k program with company match, an opportunity to earn up to 2 weeks of vacation in your first year of employment, first raise at 30 days then opportunities for raises every 90 days until top rate is achieved, and 9 paid holidays. 1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm Monday-Thursday Starting pay is negotiable based on previous experience, and top is currently $21.47 per hour. WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE? Set up and run press, maintain quality, and adjust ink and water roller pressures. Properly inspect product visually, separate envelopes. Place envelopes onto feed of machine. Pack envelopes uniformly and neatly, keep up with the machine speed. Properly check order throughout run to ensure accurate labeling, printing, and packaging of product. Maintain accurate counts of envelopes to boxes, cartons and skids. Remove paper jams, perform preventative maintenance when scheduled. Maintain press and surrounding area to Lean specifications. QUALIFICATIONS SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE IN THIS ROLE HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS: One year or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Manual dexterity. Strong initiative. Team player. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior Offset Printing experience preferred ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ability to stand for approximate duration of scheduled shift (minus paid breaks), lift up to 20 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally, repetitive grasping, frequent, twisting, lifting above shoulder height, occasional bend, reach, crouch, or stoop. Sensory requirements are tactile/touch with hands and digits, near and far visual acuity, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Reasoning, mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills for appropriate operations of the equipment.
Responsibilities
