The Role The Offshore Crane Supervisor will be responsible for managing and overseeing crane operations on offshore platforms, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational efficiencies. This role requires strong leadership skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving in critical situations. Main Responsibilities & Key Result Areas Oversee all lift planning and execution procedures to maintain safety and operational integrity. Ensure that lifting operations are conducted in compliance with industry standards and company policies. Supervise crane operators and riggers to ensure proper execution of lifting operations and adherence to defined procedures. Review and approve lifting plans, conducting risk assessments and ensuring all necessary permits are acquired prior to operations. Conduct regular inspections of cranes and lifting equipment, identifying any maintenance needs or safety concerns. Coordinate with project management to report on crane operation progress, issues, and equipment performance. Lead daily safety meetings with the team to address hazards and promote a culture of safety. Train and mentor junior personnel in crane operations and safety practices. Maintain thorough records of all crane operations, maintenance, and incidents. Engage with clients to provide updates and receive feedback on lifting operations. Essential: Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in an offshore supervisory role with strong knowledge of crane operations and lifting practices. Relevant certifications in lifting operations and safety, including LEEA qualifications preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and coordinate with clients.
