Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the OHS and Facilities Coordinator at Gateway Health, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety, functionality and compliance of our workplaces and assets. Based in Wodonga and reporting to the Chief People and Capability Officer, you’ll lead and coordinate the infrastructure, procurement, fleet and Occupational Health & Safety functions across the organisation.
Your focus will include developing and maintaining systems, policies and procedures to meet legislative and organisational requirements; overseeing building and fleet maintenance; managing contractors; and championing a positive, proactive safety culture. You’ll also provide day-to-day support and leadership to a dedicated team, ensuring our facilities and systems effectively support our staff and services.
This role is based in Wodonga, but will require regular visits to our other sites in Wangaratta, Shepparton, Benalla and Myrtleford. Working full-time, you will have the option to work 76h/fortnight or 80h/fortnight with an RDO each month.

You are an organised and solutions-focused professional who thrives in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. You will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Safety or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Solid understanding of OHS legislation, risk management, and safety management systems
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating facilities, contractors and building maintenance
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all level
