Ox FleetCare is responsible for keeping the Super Sucker Hydro Vac Services, and Bartels Environmental, fleet vehicles on the road. We work to support infrastructure and need our equipment to do that! We are searching for an eager to learn, and hard working Lube & Oil Tech to join our team.

Ox Fleet Care provides service and repair to the heavy construction industry. Specializing in repair and services to Suction Excavation and Hydro Excavation trucks & equipment as well as repair and maintenance to all types of trailers and trucks. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get into an apprenticeship opportunity.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Enrollment in or completion of a pre-apprenticeship program in truck and coach, automotive, or heavy equipment mechanics is an asset
  • Prior experience in an automotive or heavy equipment shop is an asset but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a strong willingness to learn.
  • Valid Class G license
  • Team player, safe, professional
  • Safety oriented

Responsibilities
  • Perform oil changes, lubrication, and fluid top-ups for fleet vehicles, including heavy trucks and excavation equipment.
  • Inspect and replace engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolant, transmission fluid, and other essential lubricants as per manufacturer specifications or company approved recommended services.
  • Monitor fluid and oil inventory and make inventory recommendations to the parts department.
  • Check and replace air filters, fuel filters, and other serviceable components as required.
  • Conduct basic inspections of belts, hoses, brakes, and tires, reporting any issues to senior technicians.
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete work orders in fleet maintenance software.
  • Assist mechanics and technicians with routine tasks and shop organization.
  • Ensure work areas, tools, and equipment are kept clean, organized, and in proper working condition.
  • Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to company safety policies.
  • Attend monthly health and safety meetings.
  • Properly dispose of used oil, filters, and hazardous materials in compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Assist with shop maintenance tasks and cleaning of service bays.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Parts and Services Supervisor.
