Garda Capital Partners (Garda) is a multi-billion dollar alternative investment firm with over 22 years of experience deploying relative value strategies across fixed income markets for institutional investors. Garda's primary offices are located in Wayzata, New York City, West Palm Beach, Geneva, Zug, Copenhagen, Singapore, and Scottsdale. Garda is looking to hire an Oil Analyst to join the Swiss Macro Desk in Geneva. The candidate will be reporting to the main risk taker in commodities. Position Responsibilities Initial firm requirement to develop a supply & demand model for the Atlantic Basin Diesel market. Candidate will then look to build out into all Oil Products and Crude globally. Candidate should have interest to eventually look cross commodity (Gas & Power, Precious Metals, Base Metals). Will support Portfolio Manager in relationship management with Bank Research and Sales desks as well as data vendors. Role is in the Swiss Macro team where candidate will have exposure to other senior risk takers across Fixed Income, FX, and Equities. Qualifications & Desired Skills 1-3 years’ experience in a relevant role at a top tier trading house, oil major, bank or hedge fund Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in finance, economics, or a similar quantitative discipline Exceptional quantitative & programming skills (Python & SQL) Knowledge and interest in financial markets Strong written and oral communication skills Critical thinking, strong attention to detail and independent problem solving skills Intellectual curiosity and motivation to innovate and improve Ability to work effectively in a high-energy, time sensitive team environment
Responsibilities
