The Oilfield Mechanic (Heavy Duty Mechanic) is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel-powered heavy equipment, trailers, hydraulic systems, and oilfield service units. This role includes both shop and field work, operating a service truck to perform mobile repairs, and providing troubleshooting and diagnostic support. Location: Rotational - Zelienople, PA / Williston, ND / Kilgore, TX / Midland, TX Job Type: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt Pay Range: $22.00 – $34.00/hour (Based on experience and skill level) Benefits: * Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Voluntary Insurance Options * 401(k) Retirement Program * Paid Time Off (PTO) & Holidays * Career Pathing & Competency-Based Advancement * On the job training Schedule: * Rotational Schedule - 28 days on / 14 days off * Day, Night, Weekend, and Holiday shifts required * 100% travel Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Diagnose and repair diesel engines (Cat, Detroit, Allison, Cummins) * Perform maintenance on trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, and emissions systems (DEF/DPF/Tier 4) * Use diagnostic software: SIS, INSIGHT, Allison * Rebuild hydraulic systems and perform field service repairs * Mentor Mechanic 1 and trainee-level team members * Maintain accurate records and documentation * Operate forklifts and telehandlers * Participate in on-call weekend rotation * Work in various outdoor conditions (approx. 75% shop, 25% field) Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * 1–5+ years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience (oilfield preferred) * Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record * Must pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen * Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail * Ability to work flexible and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Skills: * Strong problem-solving and communication skills * Experience mentoring others * Familiarity with oilfield equipment, safety practices, and documentation * Comfortable working under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Reports To: Maintenance Manager Disclaimer The Company has reviewed this job description to ensure that essential functions and basic duties have been included.
