Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Field Technician to join our Oilfield Services team in Red Deer. The Field Technician will be responsible for supporting day-to-day field operations, ensuring safe and efficient service delivery, maintaining equipment, and adhering to regulatory and company standards. This position requires a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in challenging outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform field services including equipment setup, monitoring, operation, and maintenance.
  • Assist with rig-in/rig-out activities, casing running, and other oilfield service operations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections, hazard assessments, and ensure compliance with company safety policies.
  • Operate and maintain service equipment, tools, and vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and safety standards.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation including field tickets, logbooks, pre-job checklists, and hazard IDs.
  • Collaborate with field supervisors, dispatchers, and client representatives to ensure smooth operations.
  • Identify and report equipment deficiencies or unsafe work practices immediately.
  • Work in various field locations across Alberta, often in remote areas and under varying weather conditions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous experience in oilfield services, drilling, or related field work is considered an asset.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License (Class 1 or 3 preferred) with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Safety certifications including:
  • H2S Alive
  • Standard First Aid & CPR
