JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking CIAM Engineer with deep expertise in Okta and ForgeRock platforms. This individual will play a key role in the design, implementation, and operational support of Consumer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring a secure, seamless, and scalable digital identity experience across enterprise consumer-facing platforms.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management, with strong hands-on experience in Okta and ForgeRock platforms.
  • Deep understanding of CIAM architecture, protocols (OIDC, OAuth2, SAML), identity lifecycle, and security controls.
  • Proven experience with consumer-facing identity solutions, including self-service workflows, MFA, and adaptive access.
  • Experience integrating IAM with enterprise applications, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Okta Certified Professional, ForgeRock Certified).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in high-scale, high-availability CIAM systems.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) and how they apply to consumer identity.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Splunk, Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence.
  • Experience working in Agile/DevSecOps environments.

Responsibilities
  • CIAM Lifecycle Management: Lead the implementation and support of consumer identity processes, including registration, authentication, authorization, and account recovery using ForgeRock and Okta.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide subject matter expertise for CIAM-related incidents, root cause investigations, and technical escalations.
  • Self-Service Optimization: Build and enhance self-service features to improve user autonomy and reduce operational overhead.
  • System Integration: Integrate CIAM solutions with internal systems of record, third-party apps, and analytics platforms to support business growth and insights.
  • Federated Identity Management: Ensure a frictionless SSO experience across web, mobile, and cloud platforms through identity federation and standards like SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC.
  • Strategic Alignment: Partner with architecture, engineering, and security teams to align CIAM strategies with enterprise objectives.
  • Platform Support: Manage uptime and incident response across consumer IAM production systems according to defined SLAs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Operations, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Units to assess risks, prioritize issues, and drive resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in IAM and proactively recommend improvements.
