Description Job Title Older Worker Kitchen Aide Department Report To FLSA Status Last Modified Sr. Life Center Center Director Non-Exempt 4/7/2024 Job Summary The Kitchen Aide is responsible for assisting with the food service for assigned Senior Life Center. Duties and Responsibilities Assist Center Director with food preparation, packaging and serving of meals. Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen following regular cleaning schedules. Assist with checking orders when they arrive. Assist with meal preparation for special events. Assist with maintaining an up-to-date inventory of foods and supplies. Assist with monitoring temperature logs daily for congregate and home delivered meals. Also, for all freezers, refrigerator and walk-in cooler. Assist in maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Good communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must have good corrected hearing and vision. Must have dexterous use of both hands. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be courteous at all times. Must be able to pass the state/federal required background check Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in food service preferred. I understand the description of this position and its essential functions as given above.
