We are looking for an OLED Thin Film Engineer to join our team working on new display products. In this exciting role, you’ll use basic principles to make high-quality displays. You’ll be important in advancing display technology for future products, focusing on techniques like ALD, PECVD, and Inkjet Printing. You’ll work with Apple headquarters and global display suppliers to move these technologies from research to production. DESCRIPTION As a Thin Film Engineer, you will maintain equipment and process performance while developing new technologies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance display development. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS M.S. or above in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent working experience. 3+ years of hands-on experience with flat-panel display or semiconductor thin-film processes 2 years of experience using statistical data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, etc. Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with thin-film characterization techniques (SEM, TEM, FIB, XRD, SIMS, etc.) and mechanical testing methods such as adhesion, strain & stress analysis, and rheology. Familiarity with ALD, PECVD, or Inkjet thin films. Ability to model thin films using FEA or first principles and collaborate with cross-functional experts to build realistic simulations of novel concepts. Experience in display management roles, including fab operations, SPC and relative KPIs, yield improvement, SOP documentation, and R&D activities. Ability to perform Design of Experiments (DOE) and conduct failure analysis for yield and quality improvement of products. Self-motivated and eager to tackle tech challenges, with strong teamwork, proactive problem-solving skills, and a clear communication style. Willing to travel internationally.
