YOUR ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate Team Leader - At least 3 years of previous working experience
  • Team Leader- At least 5 years of previous working experience
  • Desirable previous experience in specialised consulting firms or banking and financial institutions, with content in data&analytics, financial modelling, machine learning techniques.
  • Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline. Ideally Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, Data Science or, Engineering
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with numbers, paired with the ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an understandable manner to clients and colleagues
  • Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
  • Experience in using advanced analytics and data manipulation software - R, Python, SAS, SQL.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and resilience in a creative and constantly changing environment
  • Be independent and work under limited supervision respecting defined timelines.
  • Present results effectively, highlighting potential issues and implications.
  • Excellent command of Italian and English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage a demanding work volume and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel regularly

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As a member of Oliver Wyman’s Data & Analytics team, you will collaborate with colleagues and clients at all levels from your very first day, helping clients solve their most pressing challenges. Our DNA team is committed to developing tailored solutions for clients around the globe, including designing potential solutions for analytical challenges, implementing various prototypes while also assessing their effectiveness, and engaging in discussions with clients and colleagues to share ideas. Your contributions will be invaluable to delivering impactful results for our clients.

  • Developing an NLP-based machine learning toolkit to predict credit rating downgrades using news articles – click here for more information
  • Modelling portfolio decarbonization strategies leveraging advanced analytics techniques for large European banks
  • Optimizing and developing a promotional program using data from historical promotions for an Asian health & beauty chain by deploying a promotion analytics toolkit
  • Validating a customer-facing GenAI chatbot for an American bank
  • Developing probability of default and loss models in Python for European and UK-based banks

The role will focus on managing projects:

  • Associate Team Leaders and Team Leaders would typically work on one project at a time.
  • Project work typically involves developing hypotheses; managing data collection, model creation and analyses; conducting primary and secondary research; creatively tackling information limitations; and surfacing insights, overseeing the work of analysts
  • Using Partners and the internal network effectively to provide technical and senior-level steer to projects
  • Working in a team together with clients to complete project deliverables to high standard
  • Maintaining energy and positive work life balance of team
  • Coaching Oliver Wyman and client team members to develop their skill
