Job Description We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Assurance Engineer with 1–2 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing, covering API and UI testing, and will be familiar with test management tools. This role offers the opportunity to grow within a dynamic QA team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions. KEY RESULT AREAS • Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases for API and UI testing. • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and senior QA engineers to identify and resolve defects. • Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing. • Document test results, track defects, and ensure timely resolution. • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks. • Participate in quality governance sessions, sprint ceremonies, and defect triage forums. • Manual Testing: Strong understanding of test case design, execution, and defect reporting. • Automation Testing: Experience with tools such as Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured, or similar. • API Testing: Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and API automation frameworks. • UI Testing: Familiarity with web and mobile application testing. • Test Management Tools: Experience with JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent. • Version Control: Basic knowledge of Git/GitHub. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Preferred Experience • Exposure to banking or financial domain testing (functional workflows, compliance, security). • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps). • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Certifications (Preferred) • ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent. • Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or similar QA certifications. Good to Have • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter). • Experience with cloud-based testing environments. • Basic understanding of SQL and database validation. • Prior involvement in banking application testing (payments, transactions, security).
