Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised O&M Manual Writer to support the delivery of a construction project by compiling complete, accurate, and Client-compliant Operations and Maintenance manuals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, developing, and organising comprehensive Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals that clearly describe the systems, equipment and procedures needed for the long-term operation of the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience writing O&M manuals or technical documentation, preferably on mission-critical infrastructure projects (data centers, semi-conductor, pharmaceutical, etc.).
  • Familiarity with MEP and BMS Systems.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and schematics.
  • Excellent written communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, or other markup tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver clear, accurate, and well-organised Operations & Maintenance manuals in accordance with Client specifications and project requirements.
  • Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning teams to gather and validate system data, technical content, and equipment details.
  • Structure manuals logically, including sections such as system overviews, operating procedures, maintenance schedules, safety protocols, equipment schedules, and as-built documentation.
  • Track document status, approvals, and version control throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure documentation is complete, consistent, and properly formatted.
  • Submit manuals through the project’s document control system, e.g. Procore, BIM 360 or as required by the Client.
  • Assist in closing out project documentation packages in alignment with Commissioning and Project Handover schedules.
