This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Management Specialists – Response.   Since the actual work location will be the deployment site(s), these positions have the potential to report out of any WSP USA office, which could include Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Birmingham, AL; New Orleans, LA; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX.  Emergency management cadre positions are on-call and assignments are on an as-needed basis.  Cadre members are not eligible for benefits.   Cadre members are asked for a 30 day commitment; availability to deploy with little to no advance notice (typically within 24-48 hours); and during deployments, ability to potentially work 8-12 hours/day; 7 days/week.   Your Impact * Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories. * Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster. * Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions. * Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility. * Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.  * Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. * Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.   Who You Are Required Qualifications * HS Diploma. * 7+ years experience, including 1+ years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent. * Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook (Email), Word, and Excel. * FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification. * Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations up to a minimum of 30 days. * Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening. * Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. * Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.   Preferred Qualifications * Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Emergency Management (or related field). * Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience. * Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment. * Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting tools.   WSP Benefits: WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
