Position Summary: The Engineer at Courtyard by Marriott is essential to the Facilities Engineering team, ensuring smooth and efficient maintenance and operations of the hotel. It requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high standards. The Engineer manages various maintenance tasks like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and repairs. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to maintain a smooth operation within the hotel premises. Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, placing orders as necessary to avoid operational delays. Work collaboratively with the hotel’s engineering and housekeeping teams to ensure that all areas, including guest rooms and public spaces, meet Courtyard by Marriott standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Other Essential Job Duties: (Continued) Attends hotel and department meetings and other functions required by management. Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay updated on hotel policies and procedures. Communicates all pertinent information to Housekeeping Supervisor and/or Maintenance Supervisor. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Arrives to work on time, ready to clock in, in a clean/pressed uniform and non-slip shoes. Must maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Wears name tag at all times when at work.
