Medical Advisor (On Call) – Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust
Are you an experienced pre-hospital, blue-light trained doctor with a passion for pre-hospital care and trauma response? Do you thrive in high-pressure environments and want to make a real difference in critical situations?
Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Medical Advisor (On Call) to join our team providing overnight clinical leadership and emergency support across Yorkshire. The role is a temporary position based on an honorary contract until the end of March 2026.

Responsibilities

Be part of a 1-in-6 on-call rota , covering 20:00–08:00, 7 days a week.
Provide expert clinical advice to specialist ambulance clinicians, especially in trauma and critical care cases.
Respond to major incidents , supporting Tactical Commanders with strategic medical input and overseeing clinical interventions at the scene.
Ensure rapid patient flow from incident sites to hospitals.
Participate in training and exercises to maintain operational excellence.
