Bring your flavor Building the future of food and well-being starts with you. Join our team and bring your best self to the table.   What you will be doing The Pharmacist at the Central Fulfillment (CF) site is responsible for conducting pharmacist verification in a closed- door pharmacy environment. The primary role is to ensure the accuracy and completeness of prescriptions in the Central Fill prescription filling system. The Pharmacist will serve as a leader to the shift team and partner with the site PIC/General Manager to provide direction for the teams. They will work in accordance with the Board of Pharmacy guidelines. The Pharmacist will assist the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) with all quality assurance activities related to keeping patients safe and complying with all state and local regulations along with policies and procedures of the company.   The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ. The shift arrangement is aligned to either a 1st shift or 2nd shift schedule. Looking for a pharmacist with the ability to work one to two Saturdays and Sundays per month, along with occasional weekday shifts.    Main responsibilities * Pharmacist verification of prescriptions. * Supervision of pharmacy technicians work as regulated by the Board of Pharmacy * Responsible for supporting the store pharmacy operations to achieve their planned business objectives. * All activities related to the preparation, dispensing and sale of prescription and pharmacy related products. * Assist in developing and implementing CF programs to help meet sales objectives and increase prescription volume. * Provide the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) updates on Pharmacy operations. * Understands and complies with Best Practice Standards and execution by pharmacy staff when the Pharmacist in Charge is absent. * Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal laws, and company policies and procedures. * Assist in the training and development of pharmacy staff. * Hold and maintain a clean pharmacist licensure in the home state. * Must complete all required state, federal and company training programs (i.e. HIPAA, CDR, I-pledge, etc.) * Confront complex pharmacy operational issues with situation specific business solutions. * Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations.   What we are searching for * An appreciation for possibilities technology combined with a hard-working team can deliver. * A leader comfortable motivating a large team with a diverse set of skills & capabilities. * A creative mind who enjoys planning, organizing, and implementing ideas and seeing them come to fruition. * An individual who flourishes in developing continuous improvements for workflow, teambuilding, etc. * A troubleshooting mind who thrives while solving problems in a fast-paced environment.   We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience * Required: * B.S. or doctorate (PharmD) in pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy required. * Licensed Pharmacist in the CF home state for a minimum of 1 year. * A minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience or equivalent in a similar setting. * Preferred: * Prior pharmacist experience within a retail OR closed-door fulfillment setting. * Ability to travel up to 10% of the time to visit remote operations, business partners, and the General Office as needed. * Technical Experience: * Process systems experience (e.g. Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen) preferred. * Mail order and central fill pharmacy experience preferred. * Knowledge of pharmacy systems and systems integration * Experience in handling software and hardware in a warehouse environment preferred.   Physical Requirements * Willing and able to stand/walk at least 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation. * Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, rotating, reaching, and lifting/carrying up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. * Visual focus such as counting, observing, etc. is required consistently. * Performing repetitive tasks up to 100% of the time Responsibilities   Albertsons Companies is at the forefront of the revolution in retail.  Committed to innovation and fostering a culture of belonging, our team is united with a unique purpose: to bring people together around the joys of food and to inspire well-being.  We want talented individuals to be part of this journey!
