POSITION SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Head Football Coach and Director of Player Personnel, the On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all recruiting activities for the Aztec football program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategic recommendations, planning, organizing, and executing both on-campus and off-campus recruiting events. This includes coordinating official recruiting visits and maintaining the recruiting database. Additionally, the position involves assisting in the daily operations of the football program while ensuring strict compliance with NCAA, Mountain West Conference, university, and state regulations, policies, and procedures.
DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Department of Athletics, utilizing the services of over 150 employees, is responsible for the intercollegiate athletics program at San Diego State University. Currently, there are 18 sport programs, approximately 450 student-athletes, and 17 offices in the department. The offices include the following: The Aztec Club, Administration, Athletic Medicine, Business Office, Communications, Compliance, Corporate Sales, Development, Equipment, Event Management/Facilities and Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Strength and Conditioning, Student-Athlete Academic Support Services, Ticket Office, and Video.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Entry into this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.
