Description PRIME Occupational Medicine’s Mission: PRIME’s mission is to provide employers worldwide with the best tools to optimize the efficiency necessary to maximize improvement in each worker’s health and safety. Objectives of this role: Manage and care for clients; recognize and attend to their needs. Recognize ethical and legal responsibilities. Perform a variety of on-site and clinical procedures. Perform a variety of administrative duties. Responsibilities: Provide information, services, and assistance to clients and patients in an on-site setting and a PRIME clinic. Maintains medical supplies inventory, notifies managers when supplies need to be ordered, and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. Verifies patient information, medical histories by interviewing patients, documenting medical history, and confirming purpose of visit at an on-site setting and at a PRIME clinic if needed. Prepares clients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests; drug & alcohol screening, audiograms, EKG’s, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test; and reporting patient history summary. Assist in injury care when at a PRIME clinic. Perform phlebotomy service and give injections under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional. Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records within our electronic system. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calibration checks. Improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Protects the practice by adhering to professional standards. Updating and filing medical records according to facilities policies/procedures, state, federal/guidelines/regulations/laws. Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership of all performed duties while providing value to the organization. Must have the ability to take on-call on a rotating basis and provide services on-site and clinical after hours. Responsible for setting up and breaking down the on-site Packing supplies for the scheduled on-site May be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays Will be required to operate your own dependable vehicle Must have active and valid registration, title and insurance The ability to drive over 500 miles weekly when needed Must be able to work at various on-site locations and travel to out of state Other duties as assigned Requirements Qualifications/Skills: Must be 21 years or older Professionalism Confidentiality Ability to stand or sit for extended periods Above average communication skills Understand and maintain HIPAA requirements Must be able to pass a DISA Drug Screen and Background Check Must have a valid driver’s license as required for the position Reliability Patience and compassion Punctuality Stress Management Teamwork Working independently Working quickly and accurately Preferred but not required to have a TWIC card Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements: Must be a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or equivalent High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant required Physical Demands: Sitting or standing for prolonged periods of time, lift, carry push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 100 pounds. Repetitive motion. Extensive use of medical equipment, computers, copy machines and keyboards. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting and requires the ability to operate medical equipment and standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items, to walk short and long distances, and drive a vehicle to client location, deliver and pick up materials. Must have the ability to climb stairs. Mental Requirements: Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with employees and visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.
