ON-SITE SOLUTION ENGINEER, DEFENCE SERVICES
Bring your IT engineering skills to the front line by deploying and implementing our market-leading software solutions worldwide. In this customer-facing role, you will tackle diverse technical challenges, deliver end-to-end solutions and make a real impact. The position also involves extensive international travel.
CUSTOMER-FOCUSED ENGINEER WITH BROAD TECHNICAL TOOLBOX
With strong communication skills and a proactive, hands-on mindset, you take ownership and enjoy supporting customers directly.
We are looking for:
You will work with technologies such as Windows Enterprise & Server, Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu), SQL and MS SQL Server, networking (IP, TCP, UDP, multicast, routing, firewall), Active Directory, scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and Java enterprise applications and microservices – but we don’t expect you to be an expert in all areas. Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Significant international travel and direct customer interaction are expected in this role, so travel should be a natural part of your working life, and you should be comfortable working closely with Defence customers and stakeholders worldwide.
Please note that you must be able to present a clean criminal record and have lived in a NATO and/or an EU country for the past seven years as we work with security-classified projects. Read more here.
As an On-site Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, configuring and rolling out technical solutions directly at customer locations. You will ensure that systems are fully operational, deliver technical training to users and administrators, provide on-site troubleshooting and support and act as the link between the customer and internal technical teams.
Your key tasks will include:
The role includes direct customer interaction and approx. 60–100 travel days a year, depending on project needs.
