Aligned with Brown-Forman long-term brand building and profit growth strategies, this position is responsible for the shopper marketing within the On trade and WHS environment.
Meaningful Work From Day One
He/she will be a key member within the organization able to deliver a Trade Marketing Strategy by seeking to understand the shopper/consumer behavior, the category, client and channel dynamics, and deploy a plan that reinforces the power of the brands in the market and turns brand choices into purchase through compelling activities at the point of consumption (on-trade) or point of purchase (WHS/C&C).
This position is a temporary replacement for maternity/parental leave (approximately 3 years).
This is an office/hybrid role 4 days a week in the office.
What You Can Expect
- Leading and developing team of 1 On-Trade Marketing Assistant and 1 external Brand Ambassador.
- Market responsibility: Czechia & Slovakia.
- Channel responsibility: Distribution channel (WHS, C&C) and On-trade (wide & B-F On-trade).
- Strong contribution into both strategic and operational planning process.
- Participate and contributes in S&I of all brands and on-trade channel.
- Drives conversions of plans from brand/channel to specific customers in cooperation with KAMs.
- Key member of S&BP process (“plachta” inputs, onepagers, evaluations, competitor analysis, channel expertise).
- Responsible for the annual set up of the On-Trade and WHS and C&C strategy, in collaboration with Marketing Brand team and Sales:
- Coordinates with KAM, Area Sales Managers & Brand Marketing.
- Area of responsibility: Activation, Visibility, Promotion & Advocacy.
- Responsible for the annual set up of the On-Trade plan & WHS and C&C (developing, execution, evaluation, and reporting), according to the strategy:
- Designing activation, visibility, promotion and advocacy plan physically & digitally for the On trade and coordinates execution of On-trade BDs.
- Design and implement promotional, activation and visibility plans for the WHS and coordinate with the KAM the promotional calendar.
- Aligns with all relevant activities with Legal/Compliance team.
- Coordinates execution of On-trade BDs according to C&C plan.
- Supports B2B activities like 3rd party motivations, on-trade customer motivation programme etc.
- Tracking (regularly provides reports on promotion efficiency and progress to plan status).
- Continuous improvement & communicate action plans accordingly.
- Leading external agencies on projects, by preparing briefing and having a planning calendar.
- Collaborates with procurement department on POSM development & optimal warehousing.
- Stays on top of business/brand performance by channel, analysis available data and information from sales, highlights issues and recommends course corrections.
- Responsible for proposing long-term Event strategy in collaboration with Marketing Brand teams and Sales, and for the annual set up of the Event & Festivals plan according to strategy:
- Negotiates with Festivals on conditions, prices and execution.
- Directs external agency for perfect execution (selling points, hostesses, visibility) and set up conditions of cooperation.
- Oversees and develops approach to local festivals (executed via BDs).
- Seeks for improvements based on field visits & reports.
- Manage Brand Ambassador and develop together an annual advocacy plan for On-trade channel and coordinates all his B-F activities (e.g. staff trainings, guest bartending, events and festivals, internal training sessions etc.)
- Develop and administrates internal web app B-F MENU in cooperation with external IT agency and create plan for internal and external promotion of the app.
- Responsible for proposal and tracking of A&P and COGS budget of the On Trade, WHS and Events annual plan.
- Aligns with Finance on correct accounting A&P budget management.
- Implementation control & budget allocation.
- Collaborates with Marketing, BBI & Sales to get market knowledge and consequently insights.
- Independently capitalizes information resources such as Retailzoom, Dotykačka etc.
- Regular monitoring and evaluation of competitor activities.
- Participates in sales meetings & selected brand meetings.
- Regular visit customers in the market.
What You Bring to the Table
- Education: College/University (Bachelors or Equivalent)
- At least 3/4-year work experience with On-Trade channel, Trade Marketing or Marketing.
- Knowledge of On -Trade and Wholesale channel & customers.
- Retailzoom (or other on-trade data) analysis.
- Fluent Czech speaking and writing is mandatory.
- Good English speaking and writing.
- Digital & social media advanced.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Project & budget management.
- Strong Presentations skills.
- MS Office applications.
- IT literate.
