ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Proficiency with all roles and responsibilities required of a Financial Associate II. Supervise a group of 2-4 individuals within the FAM India team, providing direction to meet goals. Supervisory responsibilities over multiple clients. Review of tasks completed by Finance Associates, using an analytical perspective to identify errors and/or other areas requiring correction and/or optimization. Manage workstreams over both short and long-term timelines and provide direction to direct reports on the prioritization of tasks to achieve those timelines. Provide mentorship to Finance Associates. Accounting Leads will provide recurring feedback to Finance Associates to promote development and/or resolve performance issues, if relevant. Lead meetings with internal teams. Resolve issues within team. Propose team improvement initiatives, leading implementation once approved. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Minimum 4-6 years working in an accounting and/or finance role, with a preference for individuals with atleast two years’ experience working with a public accounting firm Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., minimum expectation is a strong familiarity with basic formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF; preference for more advanced familiarity such as proficiency with PivotTables, INDEX/MATCH formulas, etc.) REQUIRED QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. - B.Com / M. Com from a reputable university. Proficient in English (verbal and written) Proven communication skills with the ability to resolve large issues Proven documentation, presentation, and communication skills with working teams and internal management REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES Continued developing knowledge of GAAP – especially in basic concepts specific to the proper accounting treatment for revenues and expenses. Strong interpersonal skills – the role is highly interactive with internal parties. The individual must be comfortable being treated as a professional – the individual must be reliable, highly communicative, and forward-thinking. Ability to take ownership of tasks and pursue to completion. Plans and organizes meetings and communications with clients and other key external stakeholders. Able to liaise with clients and internal teams on significant issues that require high level management intervention in a professional manner Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent interruptions, changes, delays or unexpected events. Ability to analyze data and create reports. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers, reviews and assesses information appropriately. Strong project management skills - organizing work, planning, monitoring and making tradeoffs to ensure quality deliveries. PREFERRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES CA certification (preferred, not required) Experience working for a U.S.-based company Familiarity with IFRS reporting · Experience in 1099 preparation
