ONBOARDING COORDINATOR

American Cruise Lines is actively seeking an Onboarding Coordinator to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. A top-notch Onboarding Coordinator should be a great communicator with a flair for interacting with new people. Onboarding Coordinator responsibilities include scheduling start dates for new hires, gathering the necessary paperwork, teaching new hires about pay and basic job requirements, coordinating transportation to Training with our Travel Department, ordering uniforms, and answering any question prior to their start date. To be successful in this role, you should have a good working knowledge of American Cruise Lines pre-employment requirements and labor legislation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft office applications.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
• Proven understanding of Sterling and Paycor platforms.
• An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Demonstrate a high level of computer skills, time management skills, and organizational skills.

• Onboard new hires by following up until all necessary steps are complete.
• Manage pre-employment paperwork and drug tests for new employees.
• Assign training dates, schedule training orientation, re-confirm start date.
• Ensure all travel, hotel, and transportation details are requested timely.
• Perform follow-ups to ensure new hires have received all necessary travel information and instructions.
• Coordinate the movement of shipboard crew members (requesting travel home or transfers to meet fleet needs).
• Serve as a general resource and point of contact in assisting with new hire paperwork and pre-employment verification requests.
• Provide optimal customer service to all of our employees throughout their onboarding experience.
• Participate in FAQ sessions at our Training Center weekly to answer any last minute questions or concerns.
• Demonstrate a high level of computer skills, time management skills, strong communication skills and organizational skills.
