JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Onboarding Officer to manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for teachers. This role will involve interviewing potential candidates, ensuring smooth integration into the organization, and providing a welcoming experience for new teachers. The Onboarding Officer will work closely with the HR team to ensure that all necessary documentation is completed and that new hires are properly prepared for their roles.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in HR or recruitment, preferably with experience onboarding teachers or education professionals.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interview and communication skills, with the ability to engage and evaluate potential candidates effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software.
Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Interviewing:
  • Coordinate and participate in the recruitment process for new teachers.
  • Conduct interviews with potential teaching candidates, evaluating their qualifications, experience, and teaching capabilities.
  • Assess candidates’ suitability based on educational background, skills, and alignment with organizational values.
  • Onboarding Process Management:
  • Manage the onboarding process for new teachers, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Provide a warm and supportive welcome to new hires, making them feel comfortable and informed.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation sessions to introduce teachers to the organization’s culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
  • Ensure all compliance documents are completed and submitted, including contracts, tax forms, and any relevant certifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all onboarding activities and new hires.
  • Ensure teachers are informed of their job responsibilities, expectations, and schedules.
  • Communication & Coordination:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for new teacher queries during the onboarding process.
  • Collaborate with HR, administration, and other departments to ensure that new teachers have the resources and support they need.
  • Coordinate with the IT department to ensure new hires have access to necessary tools and systems.
  • Feedback & Improvement:
  • Gather feedback from new teachers regarding the onboarding process to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of onboarding materials and processes.
