Description North Homes Children & Family Services is seeking an organized, relationship-focused Onboarding & Training Specialist to support the employee experience from pre-hire through ongoing development. This role coordinates recruitment logistics, new hire onboarding, employee orientation, training compliance, license/certification tracking, and employee development support. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming and effective onboarding experience while helping ensure employees stay current with required training, credentials, and development expectations. Key responsibilities include: Coordinate recruitment logistics, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and pre-employment steps Manage new hire onboarding from offer acceptance through start date Plan and facilitate employee orientation Track required training completion and follow up on compliance needs Maintain employee training, onboarding, and compliance records Track licenses, certifications, and renewal deadlines Support employee development and internal training initiatives Partner with supervisors and leaders to support workforce readiness and employee success Requirements Required: Associate degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered Two years of experience in HR, onboarding, training coordination, recruiting support, or administrative support Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to manage confidential information with discretion Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn HR systems Preferred: Experience in human services, healthcare, nonprofit, behavioral health, or child and family services Experience with training compliance, credential tracking, HRIS, ATS, or LMS platforms HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR Benefits North Homes offers a competitive benefits package for eligible employees, including paid time off, paid holidays, ESST, health and dental insurance, retirement benefits, and additional employee support programs.
