What You’ll Do: Collect, abstract, and maintain comprehensive cancer data in compliance with state, national, and institutional standards. Review pathology, cytology, autopsy, radiation therapy, and diagnostic reports for case-finding and treatment documentation. Translate medical terminology into standardized codes for diagnosis and treatment. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of data for all cancer patients treated at Loyola University Medical Center. Maintain compliance with Commission on Cancer standards (6.1–6.5) to support Loyola’s accreditation. Average 4–6 case abstractions per day depending on complexity.
