About the program The Working in Science Internship Program is designed for last year's students and recent graduates who want to apply what they’ve learned in a real, global biotechnology environment. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects, gain mentorship, and develop skills that set you up for future success. Department description: The Medical Evidence Delivery Team within Oncology Business Unit (OBU) is responsible for strategic planning and operational delivery (study management) of interventional and observational AstraZeneca sponsored studies (AZ studies), externally sponsored scientific research (ESR) and early access programs (EAP) in order to provide access to AstraZeneca therapies, ensure earlier access to our medication to patients, and explore areas of interest/evidence gaps that have not been covered through the Clinical Development Plan. General hiring requirements Required skills, candidate background: Bachelor’s degree required preferably in medical or biological science or equivalent by experience Interest in permanent roles following the internship program; interest in oncology and project management, Adequate language skills- spoken and written, Scientific background relevant to the role Knowledge and understanding of the clinical study and drug development processes, GCP/ICH guidelines Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven collaboration and influencing skills Team oriented and flexible; ability to respond quickly to shifting demands and opportunities Demonstrated ability to collaborate as well as work independently Ability to manage competing priorities Nice to have: Experience in managing external providers, for example as part of a scientific club at a university or some other organization. Advanced degree in medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research Previous administrative training/experience Graduate or student of the 5/6th year (medical or biological sciences or field associated with clinical research) Key details Eligibility: Final year students and recent graduates. Responsibilities
This role involves contributing to the strategic planning and operational delivery of AstraZeneca-sponsored interventional and observational studies, externally sponsored scientific research, and early access programs within the Oncology Business Unit.
