Location: Oslo, Harstad, Stavanger or Trondheim
The consultant position as Geophysicist will have quantitative geophysics as main focus, and the candidate will support in APA and round application work, as well as regional- and prospect-scale seismic data analyses.

Main responsibilities:

  • Seismic data conditioning
  • Tie from seismic to wells
  • Special analysis of pre-stack and post-stack data
  • Forward modelling and rock physics
  • AVO and Seismic Inversion studies
  • Prospect evaluation and prospect risk assessment
  • Interest in hands-on programming to test ideas a plus

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree within Geophysics
  • Strong background in quantitative geophysics, AVO studies, rock properties, depth conversion, seismic processing
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
  • Inquisitive and curious with a good understanding of signal processing and rock properties
  • Knowledge of software packages like PSPro, RokDoc, HampsonRussell, Petrel
  • Experience in the field from an operator company or service company a plus
