About the role

Love chatting to people, helping them find something they’ll adore, and keeping things fun while you do it? Footgear is looking for a friendly, energetic Casual Internet Assistant to join our team in Pinkenba, QLD.

You’ll be the face (and voice!) of Footgear online, helping customers with their shopping experience and making sure every interaction leaves them smiling. We’re after someone with a great personality who’s flexible weekdays and weekends.

There’s also the option to make this a hybrid role, splitting your shifts between our internet team and the shop floor, where you’ll be a sales assistant helping customers face to face.

What you’ll be doing

• Helping customers find their way around our website and place their online orders
• Replying to customer enquiries by email, chat, phone and social media, promptly and with plenty of warmth
• Processing and packing orders quickly and accurately
• Recommending products and helping customers find their perfect fit
• Handling returns and exchanges with a smile
• Keeping accurate records and tracking inventory

Optional hybrid role:

• Working in store providing outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers, answering enquiries, and suggesting products to meet their needs
• Maintain a neat and organised store appearance by restocking shelves, handling cash and card transactions, and ensuring store policies and procedures are followed
• Actively participate in sales and promotional activities to drive store performance
• Collaborate with the store team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive work environment

What we’re looking for

• Previous customer service or retail experience, ideally in footwear or fashion
• A natural people person who’s friendly, upbeat and happy to go the extra mile
• A sharp problem-solver who makes good decisions
• Confidence with computers and online systems
• Flexibility and a positive attitude when priorities change
• A genuine passion for creating great customer experiences
