ONLINE TUTOR – GCSE MUSIC (OCR) & GCSE GERMAN (AQA)

Location: Remote | Flexible Hours
Pay: £13 per hour

A motivated GCSE student is seeking two specialist online tutors to help progress from a strong Grade 7 to a Grade 9 in:

• GCSE Music (OCR)
• GCSE German (AQA)

This is a focused, short-to-medium-term goal with a clear outcome: to maximise performance in the final exams through targeted, high-impact learning. The role will start as soon as possible and run until June 2026. Applicants must be able to commit to teaching for this entire period.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience teaching GCSE Music (OCR) or GCSE German (AQA) with excellent subject knowledge
• Strong track record of helping students achieve top grades (Grade 8–9)
• Up-to-date understanding of exam board requirements and marking criteria
• Patient, encouraging, and able to explain concepts clearly
• Experience delivering lessons online via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet
• Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to send regular homework and progress feedback via email or WhatsApp
• Availability to teach from ASAP until June 2026 without interruption

ABOUT THE ROLE

Tutors will deliver personalised, engaging 1:1 online tuition, tailored to the student’s current level and the relevant exam board specifications. The aim is to refine knowledge, strengthen exam technique, and close any remaining gaps to achieve top grades.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide targeted, exam-focused tuition in line with OCR Music and AQA German specifications
• Identify and strengthen weaker areas while consolidating existing strengths
• Develop a clear study and revision plan leading up to the exams
• Teach advanced exam techniques for achieving Grade 9 standard responses
• Offer structured feedback on practice questions and past papers
• Send weekly homework and detailed feedback via email or WhatsApp
• Build the student’s motivation and confidence throughout the process
